About Wheaton's Law

Server: Deepwood (PvE)
Faction: Guardian

Wheaton's Law welcomes all types of players: hardcore, casual, PvPers, questers, crafters, newbies, experienced players, soloers and groupers. We follow one basic rule, Wheaton's Law (A.K.A. "Don't Be A Dick"), and we encourage others to do the same.

Guild Activities Offered, But Not Required:

We do not have minimum level, gear, skill, vent, raiding, or progression requirements for general membership. Our primary interest is to enable everyone to enjoy the game by doing the activities they prefer. Membership in our raid and PvP subgroups require that you have access to Ventrilo, but participation in those subgroups is voluntary.

What we do expect from every guild member:

  • Respect for other players both in and out of guild.
Keep in mind that there are real people behind the characters you meet. Offensive comments regarding race, sexual orientation, religion, politics, etc. will not be tolerated. That being said, this is an adult-oriented guild, and topics or language of an adult nature will crop up from time to time.

  • Arguments are to be kept out of the guild and main chat channels.
We have a "no drama started or contributed to" policy. Disagreements will arise from time to time, but these are expected to be handled in private chat and conducted with basic respect toward all parties involved. If you find yourself in a disagreement you can't resolve, feel free to contact a guild leader for dispute arbitration.

  • Fair gameplay.
Do not violate Trion's End User License Agreement. Do not roll "need" on something for a character other than the one you are playing at the time of the roll, and then roll need only if it is an upgrade for your character. If you commit to a group, don't cut out on them halfway through an instance just because some of them are inexperienced...we all were inexperienced at some point, and we learn by sticking it out and trying again, not by giving up. Besides, we're immortal...what's a few deaths to us?
